Vishal is well-known for having a penchant for learning and sharing.  It is often said that knowledge is power but Vishal believes that in any professional journey, knowledge is a pursuit and it is power only if it is shared! He is a believer in capabilities of Indian Chartered Accountants and is often seen discussing topics of interest with his colleagues & friends alike.

He is known in the fraternity for being approachable and has regularly been helping members in topics pertaining to audit & assurance and practice management. He also helps members and students in solving their difficulties relating to ICAI SSP and matters of professional interest.

Vishal is widely known as a subject-expert in Auditing & Assurance field with his in-depth knowledge and insight in Ind-AS, IFRS, Accounting Standards, Auditing & Assurance Standards, Corporate & Regulatory Laws, Enterprise Risk Management and host of other technical as well as non-technical subjects.

He leads the Auditing & Assurance practice at K C Mehta & Co LLP and has experience in diverse industries from manufacturing to service sectors.

With his love for learning & contributing, he dons various feathers.

Vishal is the Chairman of Board of Studies (Academic), Vice Chairman of Auditing & Assurance Standards Board and Convenor of Centre for Audit Quality Directorate and also member of various Non-Standing Committees of ICAI for 2023-24. Along with Board of Studies (Academic) and Auditing & Assurance Standards Board he was also Vice Chairman of Expert Advisory Committee and member of various Standing and Non-Standing Committees of ICAI for 2022-23.

He is currently appointed as an Expert Member on Board of Studies in Accounting & Financial Member by Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara. In furtherance of his belief in the capabilities in Indian Chartered Accountants and as a means of contributing to the profession more closely, he participated and was elected as a Regional Council Member of the WIRC of ICAI for the term 2019-2022. He has also been a Vice Chairman of the WIRC of ICAI for the term 2020-21.

He has been a Chairman of Baroda Branch of WIRC of ICAI, Chairman of Baroda branch of WICASA and member of various professional committees with WIRC and Baroda Branch, a Technical evaluator of Financial Statements for ICAI Excellence Awards, a member of Financial Reporting Review Board of the ICAI. He has also been awarded a Rashtrapati Scout Award by the Hon’ble President of India.

Vishal strongly believes in knowledge sharing and has made numerous presentations at various forums on topics including Ind AS / IFRS, Accounting Standards, Standards on Auditing, ICAI Guidance Notes, Code of Ethics, Practice Management for SMPs, AS v. ICDS, Companies Act and many others. He is a Peer Reviewer for Peer Review Board, ICAI and has been a Technical Evaluator of financial statements for ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting for Research Committee, ICAI.
