Communication should be in writing and the incoming auditor has to wait for the reasonable period. In the e-era, positive evidence has to be created and maintained by the incoming auditors to ensure communication has been reached the previous auditor.

I am of view that previous auditor noc should be obtained in all kind of assignment,so that many thing can be discovered and also maintained better professional relationship and transparency

What if the previous auditor does not give NOC just to kill deadline and make the incoming auditor helpless with vague reasons?

Dear Sir,
Except “Emphasis on matter” in all other cases Auditor is conveying there disagreement of smooth functioning of the organisation. However, the area where auditor wants the target reader of the report to give special attention. Hence, auditor is not changing his/ her view. Hence, it is not called as modified opinion.
For Ans -2,
The auditor must have to take No objection certificate, before accepting statutory branch Audit, Internal Audit or Concurrent Audit. To safeguard the interest of the previous while auditor. Further, they also communicate the the succeeding auditor their experience. Problems and other plus or minus of the client.
